The 8-hour MSHA Refresher is no longer available on the third day of the New Miner class. You will need to schedule yourself for a separate refresher training day. Refreshers will be 8 hours as contained in the Part 48 requirements so that you can work on any MSHA regulated property.
MSHA covers everyone who works on mine property. Our MSHA training covers anyone who works in open mine pits, taconite plants, and sand/gravel sites.
There are New Miner courses and annual MSHA refreshers that all workers are required to receive. The employer is required to supply the training and pay your wages while you are trained and also any additional expenses such as gas, meals, and lodging if you should require it. This is the law.
