This class is for members with/without a CDL permit. If you do not have a permit, you will need to take your permit test a a Minnesota DMV exam station after your classroom training. NOTE: you can take your permit test without having to take the classroom. We will give you a Minnesota Commercial Drivers Manual and help you to prepare for the written exam. This class will also prepare you for what you need to know to pass the road test. Scheduling for behind-the-wheel training will be done at this time. We do provide a truck and trailer for training and a road test. Once again, you will have to take the road test at a Minnesota DMV exam station. (We do NOT do hands-on testing at the Training Center.)
PLEASE register early as class size is limited to ten (10).
CDL training includes:
• Classroom preparation for the written permit test
• Classroom preparation for the road test
• 4 hours behind-the-wheel training (not same day)
• One scheduled road test with the Minnesota DMV using our truck and trailer with 1 hour behind-the-wheel practice time immediately prior to the road test.
PLEASE NOTE: The classroom and behind-the-wheel portions, including the road test, are offered at no cost. However, if you fail the road test, there will be a $100 fee for each additional behind-the-wheel road test.
