This class is offered by the University of Minnesota Erosion and Sediment Control Certification Program and hosted by Local 49. The class will be held at the Training Center in Hinckley.
This one-day course is designed for those who install erosion and sediment control devices and establish vegetation on construction sites. The emphasis is on permit regulations pertaining to laborer activities and proper installation and quality control of various erosion and sediment control devices and turf establishment items. Other topics include an overview of pertinent inspection procedures. The course is taught entirely in the classroom. This class is also appropriate for those inspecting construction sites for assurance of installation quality.
Who Should Attend:
Crew supervisor of turf establishment/seeding contractor, and other construction personnel installing temporary erosion and sediment control devices. Note: Mn/DOT Standard Specifications require a minimum of one certified individual per project.
